Community Engagement Lead (Volunteer Role)

Volunteer
Salary: Other
Application Deadline: Oct 10, 2026
Total Rewards

The BC Total Rewards Network (BCTRN) is the premier hub for compensation, benefits,  and pension professionals across the province. We are growing, and we’re looking for three dedicated volunteers to help us lead the conversation on the future of Total Rewards.

We focus on "Micro-Volunteering"—highly structured, high-impact roles that respect your busy schedule, requiring only 1.5 to 2 hours of your time per week.

Community Engagement Lead (LinkedIn & Insights)

The Role: You are the "eyes and ears" of the BC Total Rewards community. You’ll help  BCTRN move beyond simple posts to become a driver of industry dialogue.

  • What the Role Entails:
    • Industry Scanning: Monitor LinkedIn and industry hashtags (e.g., #TotalRewards, #BCPayTransparency) to engage with our members and peer organizations.
    • Active Dialogue: Provide thoughtful commentary on behalf of BCTRN on  trending posts from industry leaders, ensuring our network is part of the "big conversations."
    • Trend Identification: Spot recurring "pain points" (e.g., shifts in hybrid work allowances, or new legislation) and feed these insights to our Content and  Events teams.
    • Interactive Engagement: Launch 1–2 "pulse check" polls or discussion  threads per month to gather real-time data on what BC TR professionals are facing.
  • Ideal Candidate: A TR professional or Recruiter who is a "LinkedIn native" and enjoys professional networking.
  • Total Rewards ROI: Build a massive personal profile as a connector in the BC TR space and stay ahead of every emerging trend.

Our Recruitment Process: The "Low-Friction" Path

  1. The "Quick Hello" (2 Mins): No resume required, just upload a 100 word document to tell us which role caught your eye and why.
  2. The "Coffee Chat" (20 Mins): A casual video call to meet the team and ensure the  role fits your schedule.
  3. The "30-Day Test Drive": A one-month trial period where you’ll get access to the tools and walk through your first few tasks with our support.
  4. Official Welcome: If it’s a great fit, we’ll announce your new role on LinkedIn!
