The BC Total Rewards Network (BCTRN) is the premier hub for compensation, benefi ts, 
and pension professionals across the province. We are growing, and we’re looking for three 
dedicated volunteers to help us lead the conversation on the future of Total Rewards.  
We focus on "Micro-Volunteering” highly structured, high-impact roles that respect your 
busy schedule, requiring only 1.5 to 2 hours of your time per week.  

Event Coordinator 
The Role: You are our “Community Experience Champion.” You’ll help BCTRN deliver warm, engaging, and well organized social events by supporting the planning process and 
ensuring everything runs smoothly on event day. 

  • What the Role Entails:
    • Event Support: Assist in organizing BCTRN social events from early planning to day  of execution.
    • Logistics Coordination: Help with tasks such as setup, registration, attendee flow, and teardown to ensure a seamless experience.
    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the organizing committee to bring event ideas to life and support community engagement.
    • On Site Presence: Serve as a friendly, reliable point of contact for attendees during the event. 
  • Ideal Candidate: A dependable, people oriented volunteer who enjoys teamwork, 
    community building, and contributing to memorable experiences.
  • Total Rewards ROI: Build connections within the BCTRN community, gain hands-on experience in event planning, and play a meaningful role in shaping our social programming.
  • Time Commitment: Expect light, fl exible involvement during early planning stages, with increased time commitments as the event date approaches, especially in the final week and event day.
